Good Design (Wyatt Anderson)

As far as remote controls go, my Harmony Remote ranks pretty highly in terms of usability. The buttons are distinctly shaped and grouped by functionality, and the on-screen display provides not only a constant indicator of the current functionality of the remote, but also offers help to the user to diagnose problems with devices not on the correct input, etc. It suffers from some negative transfer effects in the sense that it's more advanced than a normal remote, but even my mother can use it, so I'd say they're easily overcome.
